Specialist Appraisal

As an adult:

Have you always wondered why you struggle with your reading, spelling and writing?

Do you have a child who has been diagnosed, yet still struggling?
Is your child refusing to go to school?
Are you Home Schooling and need some extra help understanding your child’s difficulties?

Then come and have a detailed appraisal with the Thorpe Dyslexia Centre.

The Appraisal Includes

Tasks that appraise:

Visual processing – discrimination, sequential memory and preliminary visual stress tests.
Auditory processing – comprehension, memory, blending, segmenting, phoneme manipulation and sound discrimination tests.
Knowledge of Diagraphs – understanding and use of letter combinations, for example ‘igh’ in night.
Vocabulary comprehension.
Reading and spelling.
Reading comprehension.
Written content and handwriting.
Learning Styles – the Hawaii Questionnaire.
